RedShiftBio Wins First Best of Show Award at Bioprocessing Summit

August 30, 2023 | At the 15th Annual Bioprocessing Summit, CHI hosted the first Bioprocessing Summit Best of Show Awards honoring new products, tools, and technologies on display at the event. In a finalist field of 14 new products and tools, RedShiftBio’s HaLCon was honored as the favorite new product.

All of the new products were on display at the event, and the Bioprocessing Summit community was invited to explore the technologies and solutions on display and vote on most impactful new product of the year. Selection is conducted exclusively by the community and is not based on level of sponsorship or exhibit participation.

The winner of the inaugural Bioprocessing Summit Best of Show Award was HaLCon, a purpose-built liquid chromatography system from RedShift Bio that provides actionable data quickly so you can make critical decisions in real-time.

RedShiftBio calls its HaLCon product the fastest, simplest affinity chromatography solution for real-time protein titer monitoring, At-Line or On-Line, for bioprocess development and bioprocess manufacturing. HaLCon allows you to monitor titer by producing antibody concentration measurements, which correlate to off-line HPLC, in only five minutes. Using a compact, space-saving design, HaLCon performs a proprietary trap-and-elute technique to quantify the amount of IgG in a cell-free sample. This process delivers fast and accurate results without the need for method development or specialized training. HaLCon is designed to integrate directly into a bioprocessing suite to provide real-time data without disrupting existing workflows or equipment.
